As a third generation farm family, we operate our two broiler barns in the heart of Perth County in Southwestern Ontario. After fifteen years growing layer pullets we found ourselves looking to expand our farm and legacy. In early 2016 we dove head first into the broiler industry and upon placing and shipping our first few flocks we were discouraged by many aspects of using straw for bedding and so started the search for an alternative. This search lead us all the way to the Netherlands where we visited a large chicken producer who used peat moss exclusively in all fifteen of his barns. After learning a few tricks of the trade we are now proud to distribute Natursorb peat moss and share our experience and knowledge with Ontario chicken producers!
